Video: Suspect On Loose After Armed Robbery At Stratford Gas Station

Police are asking the public for help identifying a man wanted in connection with an alleged armed robbery at an area gas station.

Stratford Police are asking the public for help locating a man who robbed the Gulf Express at gunpoint.

The incident took place around 10:41 p.m., on Tuesday, May 28, when an unidentified black male, wearing a grey sweatsuit entered the Honeyspot Gulf Gas Station in Stratford and displayed a handgun, demanding money from the attendant, said Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti.

A video of the robbery shows the man receives money from the clerk, who also threw items at the robber, and walks toward the door, before turning around and coming back and demanding more. The clerk throws more items and the man leaves.

The suspect ultimately fled the scene with approximately $50 dollars in cash, he said.

Eannotti said no one was injured during the robbery.
